National Institute of Industrial Technology inspects formations, tracks and procedures of transport in Iguazú National Park, Argentina
The National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) completed a four-day inspection of the Jungle Train in Puerto Iguazú, Argentina, confirming the operational safety of the transport. The annual assessment, requested by the National Parks Administration, covered 100% of the railway infrastructure and procedures.

The INTI team visited the Cataratas Area of Iguazú National Park to monitor safety inspection work conducted by Iguazú Argentina S.A., the train operator.
Specialists examined the operation of the trains, the condition of engines and cars, the tracks and all procedures associated with circulation. The review focused on tracks, rolling stock and operational documentation.
The inspection covered the entire railway network: sidings and stations, electric, diesel and gas-powered engines, as well as passenger cars. General procedures, operation records, safety elements, personnel training, non-destructive testing reports, contingency plan and overall system operation were also evaluated.
The evaluation team was composed of specialists from the National Institute of Industrial Technology, the Non-Destructive Testing Department and the Transportation Means Department.
The positive inspection results reaffirm Iguazú Argentina S.A.'s commitment to maintaining this sustainable transportation system within the protected area.
