Each country counts only its own side, so this total appears in no official statistic: it is our own sum of the 2022 censuses from IBGE (Brazil), INE (Paraguay) and INDEC (Argentina). Ciudad del Este is the largest of the three. One caveat on method: the Argentine figure is population in private dwellings (the measure INDEC publishes per municipality), while the other two are total population, so the sum carries a margin of a few thousand.
