The races began at 6 a.m., featuring wheelchair, disabled athlete, and elite male and female categories. The 5 km course ran inside the hydroelectric plant, the 21 km relay was held in front of the Shopping Catuaí Palladium, and the 10 km race took place in Iguaçu National Park.
Derlys Ayala, who was running a marathon for the first time, received a prize of R$ 25,000. Fabiano Postafka won the men's 10 km, while Lucimari Perin claimed first place in the women's 10 km.
