Empreendendo Futuro program expands in Foz do Iguaçu with gamified methodology
The Empreendendo Futuro program, developed by Itaipu Parquetec in partnership with Itaipu Binacional and Sebrae, reaches 4.2 thousand students from 20 public schools in Foz do Iguaçu in its third edition. The initiative aims to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship among high-school youth through workshops, hackathons and ideathons.
The program structures learning into gamified stages that guide participants from opportunity identification to presenting projects in pitch format. Students collaborate to turn ideas into solutions with social impact potential.
The training track develops skills such as creativity, critical thinking, communication, leadership and time management. Throughout the journey, young people take part in project-development workshops, qualifying rounds and innovation competitions.
Since its launch in 2024, Empreendendo Futuro has grown significantly. The first edition gathered more than a thousand students from 11 institutions. In 2025, the reach doubled to 2 thousand students from 13 schools, with 910 hours of training activities, 35 hackathons and four ideathons. The third edition, currently underway, distributes the 4.2 thousand participants across 146 classes.
