Friendship Bridge queue · live + forecast
Both crossings, measured live: the Friendship Bridge (Foz · Ciudad del Este) and the Tancredo Neves Bridge, also known as the Fraternity Bridge (Foz · Puerto Iguazú). Marco Três reads traffic now, the next hours' forecast and reports from people crossing.

Real geography: the Paraná runs south splitting Paraguay and Brazil; the Iguaçu arrives from the east splitting Brazil and Argentina; they meet at the Three Borders Landmark. The Tancredo Neves is also called the Fraternity Bridge. Each bridge shows TWO colored lanes, outbound (toward the neighbor) and return (toward Brazil), because the queue differs by direction: the one to enter each country forms before that side's control.

The late-afternoon customs queue is real: crossing between 5 and 7 pm usually means a longer wait. The curve below is the median measured by Marco Três on the Foz → Puerto Iguazú crossing, hour by hour.
For a queue-free dinner: cross after 5 pm — or before 4 pm and wait for the restaurant to open on the other side. The return to Brazil has been clear in our measurements so far — but there have been days with hours-long queues; check the live reading before heading back.

The median hides the chaos days: on long holiday weekends and migration-control changes, local press has recorded 3-4 hour waits. Our continuous measurement started in July 2026 — the maximums above grow with it.
⚠️ The wait above is road traffic. The immigration-control queue when ENTERING Argentina (you stay in the car) can add minutes the map cannot see, especially in the late afternoon. We measure the bridge-to-control stretch and calibrate with people crossing.
