Bishop Nicolás Baisi presides Virgin of Carmen feast in Puerto Iguazú

The patronal celebration saw strong community participation. After the service, the Bishop spoke with the local radio and expressed satisfaction with the turnout, noting that the entire city attended along with visitors from various regions.

In his remarks, Baisi highlighted Mary's role as mother of God and of the Church, emphasizing that she cares for, protects, and teaches people to live like Jesus. Citing the day's Gospel about the Visitation, the Bishop pointed to Mary's example of visiting her cousin Elizabeth in difficulty, interpreting it as a call to concern oneself with others when filled with Jesus.

The Bishop also mentioned the Magnificat, Mary's song, underscoring how she celebrates God's great works in her life.

Facing concerns about youth dealing with drug and alcohol problems in the community, Baisi asked for the Virgin's intercession and addressed a special message to young people: to learn to recognize all the good and great things God does in each person's life, and all the love He offers.
