BR-469 will have total closure for rock blasting in Foz do Iguaçu

The Dalba-Bandeirantes Consortium, responsible for the BR-469 expansion works, will carry out the blasting operation as part of constructing a new access ramp to the airport terminal. During the one-hour closure, no vehicles will be allowed on the segment.

A total traffic stop is required to ensure the safety of workers and drivers on the highway, the consortium said.

Residents living within the safety zone for the blasting have been notified in advance and must leave their homes during the operation. They may return after a technical inspection and area clearance.

Passengers with flights scheduled for early morning should plan ahead. It is advisable to confirm check-in times with the airline and factor the closure into travel time calculations to the airport. Traffic will resume after 7 a.m.
