CER-IV celebrates June's end with a June festival

The celebration featured live musical performances, dances, games and typical June festival dishes. Participants arrived dressed in plaid clothing, rustic accessories and themed face paint, while the venue was specially decorated for the occasion.

According to Lucinéia Lied, coordinator of CER-IV, the initiative aimed to create a space for interaction among patients from different rehabilitation programs. Some patients also showcased their talents during the event.

"The purpose was to gather all patients from different areas in one environment, encouraging interaction and the development of additional skills through the therapeutic groups offered. The occasion allows each person to present themselves and for the staff to recognize individual progress," the coordinator explained.

For the participants, the moment represented a significant opportunity for welcoming and inclusion. José Ferreira, a patient at the unit, highlighted the importance of such activities: "It was a special experience. It would be valuable for gatherings like this to happen regularly, not only during June festivals but as an ongoing practice of coexistence and mutual participation."

The coordination emphasized that social gatherings and collective activities contribute to the rehabilitation process and improve the quality of life of the patients served by CER-IV.
