Empowering Future program expands in Foz do Iguaçu with gamified methodology
The Empreendendo Futuro program, developed by Itaipu Parquetec in partnership with Itaipu Binacional and Sebrae, reaches 4,200 students from 20 public high schools in Foz do Iguaçu in its third edition. The initiative aims to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship among high-school youths through workshops, hackathons and ideathons.
The program structures learning in gamified stages that guide participants from opportunity identification to presenting projects in pitch format. Students collaborate to turn ideas into solutions with potential social impact.
The training pathway develops skills such as creativity, critical thinking, communication, leadership and time management. Throughout the journey, the youths take part in project-development workshops, qualifying stages and innovation competitions.
Since its launch in 2024, Empreendendo Futuro has grown significantly. The first edition gathered more than a thousand students from 11 institutions. In 2025, reach doubled to 2,000 students from 13 schools, with 910 hours of formative activities, 35 hackathons and four ideathons. The third edition, currently underway, distributes the 4,200 participants across 146 classes.
