Meeting in Ciudad del Este Boosts Regional Tourism

The meeting, organized by the Polytechnic Faculty of UNE, featured faculty members, students, officials and tourism sector representatives.

During the session, experts Paulo Angeli, Patricia Durán, David Gavilán and Marcos Flores Maidana presented a panel on connectivity and tourism development opportunities in the region.

The organization also awarded the “Paraguay in 30 Seconds” Reels contest. First place went to Jazmín Carrillo for the video “Between Paraguay and Japan,” second to Melanie Luque with “Vallemí in 30 Seconds,” and third to Luana Cabral with “Paraguayan Chaco.”

According to Mirtha Ramos of the UNE Organizing Committee, the event was declared of National Tourist Interest by Senatur, which the team sees as an incentive for future gatherings.

The meeting highlighted that tourism integration among Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina still faces challenges related to connectivity, joint promotion and infrastructure, and that the task will be to turn the discussed ideas into concrete actions.
