Special edition gathers 40 local vendors and authors at Iguaçu National Park
Iguaçu National Park will hold a special edition of the Local Producers Fair on Saturday, June 27, to mark the end of June's environmental program. The event will feature twice the number of exhibitors compared with regular editions, with about 40 producers, artisans and merchants from 14 neighboring municipalities.

Fair Schedule
The fair will take place at the Visitor Center, near the reflecting pool, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free for park visitors.
Exhibitors will showcase hand‑made décor items, crochet pieces, crafts and products of regional culture. In addition to sales, the event will feature presentations by local authors: Marina Xavier will promote the book Tiago and Global Warming, while Daniela Brandão will present the children’s book A Circus Without Animals Is Much More Fun.
Closing the Environmental Program
With this fair, Urbia+Cataratas wraps up the activities carried out throughout June. The month brought together initiatives to protect the Natural World Heritage site, including river‑Iguaçu waste collection, planting of native‑species seedlings, and environmental awareness talks with staff, partners and the community.
Local Economy
At Iguaçu National Park, 74% of all items purchased are locally sourced, ranging from fresh food from nearby farmers to crafts, souvenirs and specialized services. The initiative underscores that conservation depends on strengthening surrounding communities, creating direct and indirect jobs and expanding income distribution.
