Security reinforcement in Paraguay's commercial microcenter
The Alto Paraná Police received ten motorcycles with agents from the Motorized Patrol of Asunción to intensify preventive work in the commercial center of Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. The reinforcement aims to increase the sense of security among tourists, merchants and workers in the region.

The 1st police station of Ciudad del Este received, on Thursday morning, ten motorcycles manned by agents from the Motorized Patrol of Asunción. The group is composed of nine non-commissioned officers and one officer, under coordination of the commissioner responsible for the microcenter jurisdiction.
The Security Strengthening Reinforcement initiative provides for preventive actions in the commercial center. Motorized agents will operate at strategic points, accompanying the personnel already deployed in the region to reinforce coverage in each area. According to the responsible commissioner, the initiative seeks to "provide a sense of security to tourists arriving at the commercial center of Ciudad del Este, to those who work there and to commerce in general".
The chief principal commissioner of Prevention and Security and the general director commissioner of Alto Paraná Police will oversee operations. With the motorcycle reinforcement, the motorized unit personnel will be able to dedicate more effort to monitoring convoys transporting valuables and other important shipments in the commercial center.
