What to do at night in Foz do Iguaçu

Direct answer: Night in Foz happens outside the falls: the National Park closes at 17:30 and does not open after dark. What runs in the evening is the Three Borders Landmark until 21:00, the complexes along Avenida das Cataratas, dinner in Puerto Iguazú and the city's restaurants. Itaipu Illuminated is paused until 2027.

What is closed right now, and worth knowing first

Itaipu Illuminated: paused. The last show was on 8 August 2026, and the dam is carrying out an LED lighting upgrade, expected back in 2027. Full status in Itaipu Illuminated.

The falls at night, Brazilian side: they do not open. The park closes at 17:30.

Paseo de Luna Llena, Argentine side: the only official night walk to the falls, on full-moon nights, with a train to the Devil's Throat station. What does work

Three Borders Landmark, until 21:00. Tuesday to Sunday, 14:00 to 21:00, R$ 60 full price. The three countries' cultural shows run in the early evening, included in the ticket. Dreams Park Show, km 14. The Wax Museum, Ice Bar and the complex's other attractions run in the evening and are indoors, which helps on a rainy night. See Dreams Park Show.

Dinner in Puerto Iguazú. The border classic. What ruins it is not the restaurant, it is the crossing time: our measurement shows the peak between 17:00 and 19:00, with a median delay of +30 to +39 minutes on weekdays, easing around 20:30. And Ciudad del Este at night?

It is not an evening plan. The commercial centre opens early, around 07:00, and closes between 16:00 and 17:00 Monday to Saturday. Crossing at the end of the day means finding the city closing, not opening.

When to start
