The 19th Farmer's Festival celebrates Farmer's Day and Agricultural Day on July 26, the last Sunday of the month, in the Aparecidinha Community, in Foz do Iguaçu. The organization is by the Foz do Iguaçu City Hall, through the Secretariat of Economic Development, Labor and Agriculture, with support from the Rural Union and volunteers.
The program starts at 8 a.m. with a 10‑kilometer nature walk on trails and rural roads, with hydration points and volunteers to guide participants. The walk is free, with registrations on site starting at 6:30 a.m. and a raffle of prizes at the end. At 9 a.m. there is a mass in the community chapel and, from noon, lunch with the traditional rib roast cooked over a ground fire.
Tickets for the lunch cost R$ 180 and are on sale at the Aparecidinha Community and at the headquarters of the Rural Union of Foz do Iguaçu. Each ticket includes a kit with 3 kg of ribs, rice, cassava, mayonnaise and salad. The organizers ask participants to bring plates and cutlery to reduce disposables.
