Binational chamber forecasts opportunities above US$600 million
The Paraguay-Brazil Binational Chamber of Commerce highlights the rising interest of Brazilian entrepreneurs in investing in the Alto Paraná department of Paraguay. About 90% of business inquiries received by the departmental government come from Brazilian companies.

According to the organization, proximity to Brazil is one of the main factors attracting investors. Entrepreneurs can keep residence in Foz do Iguaçu and other Brazilian cities and travel daily to Paraguay for commercial operations.
Other elements that facilitate business setup in the region include the availability of skilled labor, the use of Portuguese, and the possibility of operating in reais and dollars. Alto Paraná hosts 160 of the 324 registered assembly factories in the country—almost half of the national total.
The Paraguay-Brazil Expo, scheduled for November 11-13 at the TASK Space of the Itaipú Technological Park in Hernandarias, will focus on technology, innovation and Industry 4.0. The event is expected to gather more than 260 booths, over 300 exhibitors, at least 10,000 visitors and around 2,000 business meetings.
Organizers point out that investment opportunities are not limited to Alto Paraná. Sectors such as commerce, agribusiness and tourism in other departments also show potential to attract Brazilian capital. The networking at the event will serve as a tool to create links between companies from both countries and turn contacts into partnerships and new business.
