DTVF now costs G$ 75,000 in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay

The DTVF, mandatory for residents of the twin cities who use private vehicles to cross the Integration Bridge, had its fee reduced from G$ 234,000 to G$ 75,000, according to the National Migration Directorate. The change follows the reciprocity criterion with Brazil, where the document costs R$ 63.85, equivalent to G$ 75,000.

The DTVF came into effect on September 14, together with the authorization of private-vehicle traffic through the international crossing that links Presidente Franco to Foz do Iguaçu. The document must be obtained at the Admission Office of the National Migration Directorate, located on Rogelio Benítez Street, near 4 de Mayo, and is issued within up to 72 business hours.

For Brazilian residents of Foz do Iguaçu who wish to use the neighborhood transit regime, the DTVF must be requested at the same office. Paraguayan residents of Ciudad del Este, Presidente Franco and Hernandarias who want to enter Brazil must manage it with the Brazilian Federal Police in Foz do Iguaçu.

The DTVF is valid for five years and must be presented together with an identity or travel document. The document does not exempt the traveler from immigration control at the border point.

Private-vehicle traffic began operating on September 14, from 07:00 to 13:00, under specific conditions. The first private vehicle to cross the bridge was a Paraguayan student on September 15, who traveled from Foz do Iguaçu to Ciudad del Este.
