The current result exceeds by 59 percentage points the lowest point recorded during the pandemic, when occupancy fell to 30% on Corpus Christi 2021.
According to Sheila Domingues, head of the Statistics and Tourist Studies Division of SMTU, the data confirm the consolidation of Foz do Iguaçu as a destination with strong demand and stable occupancy during long‑holiday periods. Tourism Secretary Jin Petrycoski attributed the performance to continuous tourism promotion and integration among sector stakeholders.
