Iguazú prepares for high season with nearly 10,000 visitors

Tourist activity over the recent long weekend in Puerto Iguazú delivered solid results. Leopoldo Lucas, president of Iguazú Turismo Ente Municipal (Iturem), said that Iguazú National Park received close to 10,000 visitors in three days, keeping hotel occupancy around 60%. These figures should be viewed in light of the approaching winter holidays, a period when demand typically eases. Iturem notes strong expectations for winter, which is the high season, with reservations increasing and growth potential as the holidays draw near. These data align with the Ministry of Tourism of Misiones' report and the national briefing from the Argentine Confederation of Medium-Size Enterprises (CAME), which rank Puerto Iguazú as the most chosen destination in Misiones and indicate moderate activity for the reasons mentioned.
