Maestra complex expands capacity to over 4,500 people
Recanto Cataratas Thermas Resort & Convention opened its new Maestra Events and Conventions Center on August 7 in Foz do Iguaçu (PR). The facility totals more than 12,000 square meters and can host simultaneous events of various sizes.
The new space includes a main adaptable hall with capacity for over 4,500 people in auditorium configuration, as well as flexible foyer areas and an underground garage with 152 spaces. An additional three-level parking garage with 360 spots is slated for completion by December.
According to Recanto Cataratas, the expansion is part of a larger investment cycle that also covers lodging and leisure. The resort now consolidates, in a single location, infrastructure for accommodation, food service, entertainment, and event hosting.
The Maestra complex was designed for conventions and gatherings in various formats. The developer says the expansion strengthens the supply of large-scale event venues in the city and contributes to business tourism, a segment that drives the tourism chain throughout the year.
The inauguration featured a public performance by Ney Matogrosso and gathered tourism-sector representatives and commercial partners.
