TAP links Lisbon to Curitiba, boosting tourism in Foz do Iguaçu

The new air route adds Foz do Iguaçu to a six-night itinerary in Paraná: three days in Curitiba focusing on culture, gastronomy and European heritage, and three days in Foz do Iguaçu highlighting the waterfalls, biodiversity and multicultural character.

During the program, journalists visited attractions, restaurants and experiences linked to nature, food and the cultural diversity of the border area between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, organized by Visit Iguassu.

André de Serpa Soares, Media Relations Coordinator at TAP Air Portugal, emphasized that the flight represents "the long-desired bridge to bring more and more Europeans to Paraná," with Foz do Iguaçu and its waterfalls at the core of any itinerary.

Petterson Gherlandi, from the Municipal Tourism Secretariat of Foz do Iguaçu, noted that the new connection expands access possibilities, allowing Portuguese tourists to arrive in Curitiba and, in just over an hour of flight, reach the Falls and Iguaçu National Park.

Wolney Biesdorf, president of Visit Iguassu, evaluated the press trip as a strategic opportunity to position Foz do Iguaçu in the Portuguese and European markets, strengthening the promotion of its attractions and the tri-national experience.

The action was carried out in partnership between Visit Iguassu, the Municipal Tourism Secretariat of Foz do Iguaçu and Motiva Aeroportos.
