21st International Book Fair kicks off Thursday in Foz do Iguaçu

Event with over 80 activities runs until Sunday at Praça da Paz
The 21st International Book Fair of Foz do Iguaçu opens on Thursday, September 3, at 9 a.m. in Praça da Paz, with programming through Sunday (6) that includes concerts, author talks, workshops, and circus performances. Buy and exchange books
Ten tents from bookstores, publishers, and used-book shops sell new copies. The Elfrida Engel Nunes Rios Public Library hosts a book-exchange (Sept 3-4 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Sept 5-6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.). Books must be in good condition.
JK Fair
Vendors from the traditional JK Fair participate every day. In the morning, food and beverage sellers; in the late afternoon, artisans, second-hand stalls, and an antiques market.
Workshops and activities
The program includes storytelling, craft workshops, capoeira, creative writing, circus and bookmark making, as well as theatrical and circus performances.
Important note
Children and teenagers up to 17 years old cannot attend unaccompanied by a guardian.
The event is organized by the Municipality of Foz do Iguaçu and the Cultural Foundation, with support from Itaipu Parquetec, Marco das 3 Fronteiras, and Associação Onças do Bem.
