Roberta Campos opens 21st Foz do Iguaçu Book Fair

Opening show

Roberta Campos takes the stage on the festival’s opening night. Among her hits are the songs "De janeiro a janeiro," "Todo dia," "Minha felicidade" and "Abrigo." Her album "Todo Caminho é Sorte" received a Latin Grammy nomination.

Author program

Writer and screenwriter Felipe Castilho will appear on September 3. On September 5, Cléo Busatto, author of more than 50 award-winning books such as the Jabuti, will hold a conversation with the audience. Tino Freitas, writer and storyteller with over 40 published books, will present a show featuring stories, songs, and sung toys on September 5 and 6. Marina Hadlich, known as "The girl with the typewriter," will create personalized short stories and poems on her typewriter on September 6.

Activities and spaces

The fair offers a total of more than 80 activities. The Cultural Corridor gathers over 50 attractions, including bands, storytelling sessions, circus performances, and workshops. Local authors can apply to exhibit at the event through a public call from the Cultural Foundation (https://bit.ly/autoresFoz).

Set design

Praça da Paz will be transformed into a giant open book, inspired by the works and characters of Ruth Rocha, one of the country’s leading children-and-young-adult authors.

Hours

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., September 3–6.
