High visitation season at the Triple Frontier: July 2026 records

Official numbers captured by Marco Três show that, in the month of July, the total visitors to the region's main tourist sites reached 544,020. Of those, 263,150 went to the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu Falls, 125,114 to the Bird Park, 75,447 to the Itaipu Tourist Complex and 80,309 to the Three Borders Landmark.

The first three attractions — the Falls, the Bird Park and the Three Borders Landmark — recorded a series record, i.e., the highest number of visitors ever measured since we began tracking these sites. The Itaipu Tourist Complex, although it did not break a record, still welcomed more than 75 thousand people, reinforcing the strength of the high-visitation season.

These figures make July one of the busiest months in the historical series, indicating that the high season on the border is in full swing. For those planning a visit, it is important to consider that high demand may lead to longer lines at entrances and increased activity in transportation and food services.

What this means for you: If you plan to visit the Falls, the Bird Park or the Three Borders Landmark in July, expect larger crowds and longer queues.
