Activity with constant lines offers designs and glitter for kids
Face painting has become one of the most sought-after attractions at the 21st International Book Fair of Foz do Iguaçu, which runs until Sunday (6) at Praça da Paz. Parents, guardians and children line up to take part in the free activity.
Each child chooses the design and colors they want on their face. Options include flowers, animals, characters and glitter application.
Sofia Mohamed Shamir, 12, chose a blue flower with glitter. "It’s really cool that she can do this work because it’s very difficult. I love flowers and love the blue color," she said. The girl uses the Fair to explore other attractions and revealed she has already read more than 50 books this year.
Sara Maria Fabrício Bueno, seven, selected a leopard to stamp on her face, inspired by her passion for animals. "I like animals," the girl explained.
Face painting blends art and play, creating space for children to express their preferences and let creativity take over.
The Fair continues with free programming for the whole family, including food, crafts, book sales, new releases and cultural shows. On Sunday (6) face painting is scheduled for 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The honoree of this edition is author Ruth Rocha, one of the country’s leading children's literature figures. The honorary ambassador is professor and writer Waldson de Almeida Dias.
Note: children and adolescents up to 17 years old may not attend the Fair without a responsible adult.
