Young Dionysius Band Performs at 21st Foz Book Fair

The song "Acorda, Pedrinho!", released in 2022 on the band's debut album, spent several weeks among Spotify's most streamed tracks. The group has also received a Latin Grammy nomination.

The festival turns Praça da Paz into a space dedicated to literature, with set design inspired by the works of Ruth Rocha, the children's author honored in this edition.

The musical lineup also includes singer Roberta Campos, who will open the event on September 3 at 8 p.m. She is known for songs that have appeared on telenovela soundtracks, such as "De janeiro a janeiro", "Todo dia" and "Minha felicidade".

In addition to national acts, the fair highlights local artists. More than 50 professionals accredited by the Cultural Corridor of the Cultural Foundation are hired for shows, circus and musical performances, workshops, storytelling sessions, and other activities. Writers from Foz also exhibit their works during the festival.

Confirmed authors include Felipe Castilho (comic-book, series and animation writer) on September 3; Cléo Busatto, author of over 50 books and Jabuti award winner, in a conversation on September 5; Tino Freitas, with a show that mixes stories, songs and sung games on September 5-6; and Marina Hadlich, who creates personalized short stories and poems on her typewriter on September 6.

The event is sponsored by Itaipu Parquetec, Marco das 3 Fronteiras and Associação Onças do Bem. The full program will be released in the coming days on the social media channels of the Foz City Hall and the Cultural Foundation.

Important note: children and adolescents under 18 cannot attend unaccompanied by a guardian.
