The hotel occupancy rate – the average percentage of rooms occupied during the month – reached 73.7% in August 2026, according to the Monthly Hotel Occupancy Study of the Municipal Tourism Secretariat of Foz (SMTU), captured by Marco Três. This rate is 8 percentage points higher than the 65.7% occupancy recorded in August 2025, indicating a significant increase in demand.
