Federal Revenue reorganizes vehicle and cargo flow starting August 3
The Federal Revenue Customs in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, announced new measures to expand the use of the Integration Bridge starting August 3, 2026. The reorganization aims to improve efficiency and safety in the movement of vehicles and cargo between Brazil and Paraguay.

New circulation rules
Light cargo vehicles traveling empty (without load) must cross exclusively via the Integration Bridge between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The return trip with cargo will be made via the Friendship Bridge. The measure seeks to relieve congestion on the Friendship Bridge and optimize border logistics.
Expanded usage
International urban transport buses, charter tourism buses, and regular international lines will now use the Integration Bridge. The time window for empty trucks has also been extended.
Future outlook
The Federal Revenue is preparing to operate the bridge on a 24‑hour basis. However, full clearance for large‑scale cargo depends on the completion of works on the Paraguayan side, especially a road access that will divert heavy traffic away from the urban area of Presidente Franco.
