Can you visit all three countries in one day?

Direct answer: Yes, you can. With one condition: pick one side to visit properly, Argentina or Paraguay. Attempting both on the same day is the classic mistake, because shops in Ciudad del Este close between 16:00 and 17:00, the Argentine park closes at 18:00, and the bridge jams between 17:00 and 19:00. Late afternoon at the Three Borders Landmark is what closes the day with all three countries in view.

The itinerary that works

Morning, Brazil. Start early. If the day includes the Brazilian side of the falls, the park opens at 9:00 on weekdays and 8:30 at weekends, and the first hour is the quietest.

Midday, pick one:

• Argentina: Iguazú National Park opens at 8:00, has three circuits and needs a full day. If that is the choice, the Brazilian side waits for another day. Note that the Devil's Throat walkway has been closed since 3 August 2026.
• Paraguay: Ciudad del Este is about shopping, and shopping runs on a clock. The commercial centre opens around 07:00 and closes between 16:00 and 17:00, Monday to Saturday.

Late afternoon, Brazil. The Three Borders Landmark opens Tuesday to Sunday, 14:00 to 21:00, and is the only place where you see Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay at the same time, with all three obelisks. The ticket is R$ 60 and includes the early-evening cultural shows.

What decides the day: the bridge hour

We measure bridge traffic with our own probes. The pattern is clear:

• Peak between 17:00 and 19:00, with a median delay of +30 to +39 minutes on weekdays.
• Weekends hold the peak until 21:30.
• The late return, after 20:30, usually flows.

So: crossing into Argentina at 10:00 and returning at 16:00 makes for an easy day. Returning at 18:00 costs you half an hour at the bridgehead. Live reading at bridge queue.

Three things that save time

1. The time zone is the same. Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay all sit on UTC-3 since Paraguay fixed a single year-round time in 2024. The clock does not change when you cross. See what time is it in Paraguay and Argentina.
2. No app crosses the border. Uber and 99 stop in Foz; Bolt and MUV operate in Ciudad del Este; Puerto Iguazú has Uber Taxi. Crossing means your own car, an international bus or a border taxi. See does Uber work at the Triple Frontier.

If the goal is simply "to stand in all three"
